Andy is the Founding Partner at Passantino Andersen Communications, LLC, a strategic communications firm with offices in Central and Southern California. Since 2000, he has led scores of successful stakeholder education programs, helping entitle more than $1 billion in retail, residential and energy projects. His experience includes research, message development, grassroots advocacy, and coalition building for global retailers, national homebuilders and international energy companies. A noted expert in the field of land-use public affairs, his views on the subject have been published in Builder and Developer Magazine, The CleanTech Group News and other publications. Andy also served as a senior advisor to elected leaders in both houses of the California Legislature; directing state-wide public affairs campaigns to influence passage of legislation and managing external communications for numerous state lawmakers. A decorated U.S. Navy veteran, his military experience includes maritime patrol operations in the Persian Gulf, counter-intelligence operations against the former Soviet Union and drug interdiction operations in South America.
